Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 September 2026 · Dash Duel is operated by Devraj Engineering. Contact: info@devrajeng.in
This describes exactly what Dash Duel stores, why, and how to get rid of it. It was written from the database schema rather than from a template, so it says what the game actually does.
The short version
- You do not need an email address, a password, or an account to play.
- There is no advertising and nothing is sold.
- There is one third-party script: Google Analytics, which counts how the game is used. It does not load until you say yes. We ask once, "no" is one tap, and you can change your mind in Settings at any time.
- You can delete everything from inside the game, and it is gone immediately.
What is stored, and why
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A random device identifier | So the game recognises this browser on your next visit and gives you back your coins and items. It is generated randomly on your device — it is not a hardware ID and not a fingerprint. |
| Your display name | Shown to your opponent and on leaderboards. You choose it; if you do not, one is generated. |
| Race records | Your score, distance, coins, crashes and near misses for each race, with the time it happened. Used for your history, your rating, and leaderboards. |
| Your inputs during a race | The sequence of swipes you made. Replayed on our server to confirm a score is genuine — this is how cheating is detected. It is the most detailed thing stored about you. |
| Coins and items | What you have earned, spent and equipped. |
| Google sign-in (optional) | If you choose to sign in with Google, an anonymous account identifier from Google is stored so you can use the same account on any browser or device. The game asks Google only for sign-in itself (the openid permission), so no email address, name or profile is requested, received or stored. Signing in takes you to Google's own page for that step, which is covered by Google's privacy policy; no Google script runs inside the game. If you sign in from a browser that already had a guest account, that guest's coins, items and race history are moved into your signed-in account. |
| Anonymous usage measurement | Which screens are opened, when a race starts and ends, how long it was, whether it was solo or versus, the final score, and which items are bought with in-game coins. Sent to Google Analytics so we can see what people actually play and what is broken. Your name, your account and your device identifier are never sent to it — the game only sends categories and numbers. Google sets its own cookie to count you as one returning visitor rather than several, and receives your IP address, which we ask it to truncate. |
| Which devices reach your account | So the game recognises each browser you play in. If you use the "Play on another device" code, the second device is recorded as reaching the same account — that is what puts your coins in one place instead of two. |
| Transfer codes | The eight-character code shown by "Play on another device", the account it belongs to, and whether it has been used. It stops working after ten minutes or after one use, whichever comes first. |
| Error reports | If something goes wrong in the game on your device, it sends a short report so it can be fixed: the error message, which screen you were on, the race track number if you were racing, your device and browser type (for example "Android · Chrome"), your screen size and the game version. Never your name, anything you typed, or your device identifier. Kept for 30 days. |
| Feedback you send | If you use Report a bug or suggest an idea, the message you write, whether it was a bug or an idea, your device and browser type, the game version, and the track number and score of your last race — so the problem can be found. If you are signed in, it is linked to your account. |
| IP addresses | Present in ordinary server logs, as with any website. Used to operate and debug the service. Logs rotate automatically and are not kept long-term or linked to your account. |
What stays on your device and is never sent
Your settings — motion, contrast, tap zones, HUD size, text size, sound, chosen race length and opponent — are stored in your browser only. Your best solo scores are stored in your browser only. None of it reaches our servers.
What is not collected
No email address. No password. No phone number. No location or GPS. No contacts. No advertising identifier.
Google Analytics is configured with advertising features deliberately switched off: Google Signals and ad personalisation are both disabled, so what it collects is not joined to an advertising profile of you and is not used to target ads anywhere. Nothing the game sends it can be traced back to your player account.
Your choice, and how to change it
The first time you open the game we ask whether the usage measurement is alright with you. Until you answer, nothing is sent and Google's script is not loaded at all — the game does not fetch it and then keep quiet, it does not fetch it. The two buttons are the same size and the same colour on purpose: refusing is meant to be exactly as easy as agreeing. The game is fully playable either way, and you can ignore the question and just play.
To change your answer later, open Settings and use Usage measurement. Switching it on takes effect immediately. Switching it off stops anything further being sent immediately, but a script that has already loaded in this tab stays loaded and its cookie stays set until you reload the page — so if you want it gone right now, switch it off and reload.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we do not even ask: the script is never loaded and no banner appears. Most browsers have this in their privacy settings. A tracker-blocking extension has the same effect, and nothing in the game breaks without it.
Who it is shared with
Your data is not sold or rented, to anyone, ever. It is stored on servers operated by Bluehost in Mumbai, India.
The one exception is the usage measurement described above, which goes to Google as our analytics provider (Google Analytics 4). Google's handling of it is covered by Google's privacy policy. Nothing else — not your name, your account, your race history or your inputs — is shared with them or with anybody else.
Your display name and score are visible to other players on leaderboards and to your opponent during a race. That is the only thing other players see.
Devraj Engineering can look up an account's records — name, stats, race history, coins and items — to run the game and answer support requests. That view is read-only, password-protected, and never shows the device identifier that signs you in.
How long it is kept
Your account and its data are kept until you delete them. Race records are kept as part of your history and the leaderboards. Error reports are deleted after 30 days. Feedback is kept until it has been dealt with, and is removed with your account if you delete it. Server logs rotate automatically within days.
Deleting everything
Open Settings in the game and choose Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your player record, display name, device identifier, sign-in link, statistics, race history, stored inputs, coins, and items, and removes you from all leaderboards.
It cannot be undone, and there is no recovery period. Races you played against other people remain in their history, but you are no longer named in them.
If you cannot access the game, email info@devrajeng.in.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Deletion is built into the game. For anything else, contact info@devrajeng.in and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Dash Duel is designed to be playable by young children and collects no more from them than from anyone else: no email, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no chat or free-text messaging of any kind. The usage measurement described above applies to every player equally and is not used to build a profile of anyone.
The game does not currently ask for a date of birth, so it does not knowingly identify which players are children. If you are a parent or guardian and want your child's data removed, use Delete account in Settings or email info@devrajeng.in, and it will be erased.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will be shown in the game.
